Pro Bono Legal Services

Susie Hoeller is actively involved in providing pro bono legal services. From 1992 through 2004, she served as Advisory Board Chair and volunteer attorney for the Immigration Counseling Services of Catholic Charities of Dallas, Inc., where she litigated asylum cases for refugees from the former Yugoslavia and China; and cases under the Violence Against Women Act for battered Mexican and Russian women. As a volunteer with Dallas based Love in Action, International, Susie obtained medical visas and humanitarian paroles for Kosovar children seeking medical treatment in the U.S. as a result of war injuries and assisted elderly Kosovar refugees in social security benefit appeals.

Susie currently serves on the Advisory Board of Catholic Charities Immigration Counseling Services in Springdale, AR and she continues to represent asylum seekers.
