Our Philosophy
The Hoeller Law Firm’s philosophy is to deliver cost effective services of high quality. Although we are an outside law firm for our clients, we operate like in-house counsel do in the sense that our focus is on preventing and solving legal problems not on how many hours we can bill to a client file. To support our commitment to put clients first, we have implemented innovative technology solutions for communications, legal research and client document security. We offer flat fees, project billing and “not to exceed” estimates in addition to reasonable hourly rates.
We are dedicated to Total Quality Management (TQM) and the holistic analysis of legal issues. We practice TQM by getting involved in the early design phase of client projects so that legal issues can be identified and resolved at the beginning (“fire prevention”) not when it is too late (“fire fighting”). Holistic analysis of issues is an area where we involve our network of professionals. For example, we may advise a client on the FDA or CPSC requirements of a new food or consumer product or be drafting a software license for a client but simultaneously, we will bring in our network trademark and patent lawyer to make sure that trademark and patent issues are covered. Or as we advise a client that a particular chemical or substance will soon be restricted by federal or state law, we are already consulting with our network scientists on sustainable alternatives.
In the event our clients become involved with “fire fighting”; we can assist with recalls, government reporting and investigations, and dispute resolution. Our network includes successful litigators who can skillfully represent our clients in court, either as plaintiffs or defendants.
